TriBACH Baroque Festival Concert

"Mr Bach Takes His Hat Off"

Jointly with the Department of Music, University of Alberta, we are delighted to welcome Linda Perillo, soprano, Walter Reiter, baroque violin and section leader of the English Concert (directed by Trevor Pinnock), Doreen Oke, harpsichord, and Rhonda Metzies, baroque cello, in a special baroque recital as part of the Department of Music's "A Passion for Bach" Fall Festival. Music by Bach, his contemporaries and predecessors.

Anton Kuerti's previous concerts were such hits, we had to get him back as soon as possible, this time as part of a presentation of some Brahms favourites.

Les Voix Humaines

The wonderful Canadian viola da gamba duo, Les Voix Humaines, is joined by rising countertenor superstar Dan Taylor in a vocal and intrumental extravaganza entitled The Passion of Musicke featuring works by Dowland and Simpson, and Tobias Hume's complete Poetical Musicke.

The Lafayette String Quartet

Members of the Lafayette Quartet are artists-in-residence at the University of Victoria School of Music. All members of the quartet will be playing Amati instruments on loan from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon.
